cleveland's newest ham?

Took elements 2 & 3 last night... got 35/35 on both.

Just waiting on my shiny, new General class license to come in the mail =)

Oh, wow - very very nicely done - better than me, in fact!!!

You know to check the FCC database, yes? That way you can find out your call sign earliest.

Yep, I have the search bookmarked already.

Actually, I found I already have a novice license (somebody with same first, last & middle initial)... but apparently I live in PA. I might have to call myself after I get listed =)

Now just have to find a radio... I'm looking at a 5 watt handheld, either VHF/UHF or HF/VHF/UHF. Want to get a car antenna, and maybe a power amp in the car as well. Who knows what I'll get at home.

As soon as I have my license card I'll be signing up on Echolink as well.

Also, I plan on trying for extra when this site has a test again, in two months. That should give me some time to study.
