let me see if i got this right...
The oil refinery that provides 40% of gasoline for all of Brittan has its own private power. The power workers are going on strike tomorrow, meaning the refinery shuts down tonight.

The pipeline that not only feeds the refinery (200,000 barrels/day) but also outputs an additional 500,000 barrels per day is shutting down as well.

Four pipelines in Nigeria have been blown up in the past week. The most recent of the four happened today.

Also, U.S. military contractors fired on Iranian ships this morning.

Right???

$3/barrel rise in crude prices so far today

You are pretty much on the ball there. Except that the article I read said the output of the Forties Pipeline was 700,000 barrels a day, and 2/3 is exported right away. :(
